Intruder Alarm Systems

Every 37 seconds a residential home somewhere in Britain is burgled.

The Home Office says the average burglary costs the victim £3,500 but for only a fraction of that you can improve security. Many thieves are opportunists who will look for obvious and easy ways to get into your property.

The Alarmwise approach to intruder alarm system design is fundamentally based on a combination of two key factors. Firstly the the premises, but perhaps more importantly, on the family using the alarm system.

Our highly experienced surveyors will design and tailor an alarm system that suits you, your property and your budget

During our free no obligation survey (usually of an evening) our surveyors will explain all aspects of the security alarm system to you and your family.

All our surveyors have extensive knowledge of the installation of alarm systems and will take time to design a complete system to suit you exact needs.

The best protection is to take control and do all you can to stop thieves getting into your house. Here's where you can start? If you are not sure whether your home is vulnerable to thieves then you can ask your local police station to arrange for a crime prevention officer to visit or provide leaflets.

There may be a waiting list but an expert eye could spot the weaknesses in your security. Two out of ten burglars break in through an open window. Fit key-operated window locks and then remember to actually lock them. Make sure that when you are replacing new doors and windows, you choose ones certified to British Standard BS7950 (windows) or PAS 24-1 (doors).

Locks on all external doors should be five-lever mortice deadlocks (Kitemark BS3621). If you have just moved then upgrading locks to fiver-lever mortices is a real investment in your security and peace of mind. Hinges and hinge screws should also be sturdy. If you are making changes to PVC doors and windows then check your contract as these may affect the warranty.

The risk of loss through burglary, theft or criminal damage has steadily increased over the years to an extent where today, electronic intruder detection systems are widely accepted as a necessary and integral part of everyday life for the protection of persons, property and possessions.

Burglary is one of the most common types of crime. Recent statistics indicate that, far from declining, the burglary rate is on the increase, and is no longer confined to city areas but is a nationwide problem. Statistics also show that an intruder alarm is the best form of deterrent and that a burglar would rather break into an unprotected property.

At Alarmwise we pride ourselves on, and are dedicated to, quality and customer satisfaction which continues long after the initial installation of your security system.
